The Five Element Form and Qigong are based on
the Five Element Theory used in Oriental medicine and philosophy. The
elements wood, fire, earth, metal and water describes the cyclic flow of
changes as it occurs in Nature.
The form created by Chungliang Al Huang, allows
the student to develop and express this flow of energy.
The Qigong teaches standing postures for each
element and was adapted by Dr. Paul Lam.
Both use the Essential Principles of Tai Chi.
